In November, Steve and I booked $35 RT flights and set off for a few days in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida where we enjoyed time with Ron and Jean at their timeshare.
We arrived late Wednesday night and kicked off the weekend with a few chambongs!
We had one day of rain where we really tried to enjoy the pool...Ron was determined.
Once the skies cleared up, we enjoyed a walk on the beach.
The rain didn't keep us from enjoying our time.
We even had stone crabs for lunch!
We love finding places on vacation where we love the food, the vibe and prices are just right.
Our absolute favorite place was Vinnie's. Classic Italian, incredible oysters and a really great happy hour. Live music was just the icing on the cake.
We also enjoyed dinner at La Capricciosa where we enjoyed so much food! The charcutterie, la Pinsa Romana and cacio e pepe were all outstanding...with so many leftovers. For dessert, we shared a piece of pistachio cake.
After dinner, we stopped at Aruba for a drink, before enjoying live music from Uproot Hootenanny and dancing at The Village Pump.
The next day, we enjoyed temperatures in the mid-80's we were happy to see sun and sand.
We started that evening with a bottle of Moet rosé. Our favorite!
Dinner was another visit to Vinnie's for oysters and appetizers.
We had a great few days with Ron and Jean Marie. There is no doubt we ate and drank well! We also soaked up the sun, danced with strangers, and had an overall relaxing time.
