The Rest of 2018...

It's been a long time since I've posted and we've done so much over the past six months. Projects, trips, visitors and holidays allowed for lots and lots of fun with the people we love most in this world!

Shortly after we returned from Mexico in July we had our driveway and sidewalks removed and replaced with new concrete. We also added a stamped patio in the back along with a new set of stairs. It was a massive project and we couldn't be happier with the results. We'll be sure to get plenty of use out of the patio during the warmer Cleveland months.

Over Labor Day weekend we took our annual trip to Alexandria and Washington DC to visit friends and attend our Fantasy Football draft. We were joined by Kevin & Lisa and we packed a ton of activities into just 3 days.

In addition to plenty of food and drinks, we visited the African American History Museum and a Nationals baseball game.

From DC we flew to Myrtle Beach for the week. Myrtle Beach holds a very special place in our hearts. We took our first vacation there in the Spring of 2001 (look how little we were!!), were engaged there in January of 2006 and married there in July of 2006. We have taken countless vacations and celebrated many birthdays and anniversaries with friends and family.

During this trip we made sure to visit all of our favorite places and order all of our favorite things. It was a fun and relaxing trip.

At the end of September we had a visit from Ron & Jean, our "vacation" friends from New Jersey. As always, we visited some of our favorite places and also took them a few new spots. We enjoyed good company, food, cocktails and a lot of beer samplers! We absolutely love showing off the great city of Cleveland (and Lakewood) and Ron & Jean have come to love our home too!

On October 9th my sister Tracy celebrated her 50th Birthday! She and Kevin hosted a nice celebration at the pavilion near their new home. Tracy danced until late into the night and a great time was had by all!

In mid-November we took a pretty epic trip to Las Vegas with Kevin and Lisa to celebrate Kevin's 40th birthday.

We had SO MUCH FUN!

Steve and I managed to find the one place in the world (?) with bottomless sparkling rosé, which is basically just heaven in a pretty glass. We also crossed off a bucket list item to watch Sunday NFL football in a Vegas sports book. We rented a “Fan Cave” for the day. It was a 3-day blur that we’ll talk about forever.

Thanksgiving was enjoyed at Sean's house along with Steve's parents, Gretchen & Scott. Over the rest of the weekend, I cooked and we enjoyed the company with good food, cocktails, relaxation and fun!

In early December I had a great trip out to Silicon Valley with two colleagues. I am a sponge to their collective knowledge and together we are a pretty awesome team!

Christmas was next and we were joined by Kevin & Lisa at the Cavs "Winter Wonderland" Christmas party. There were several activities for families, but we mostly enjoyed the abundance of food and drinks.

On Christmas Eve, Steve and I enjoyed dinner at home with filet cooked to perfection and a bottle of Moët rosé. Our gifts to one another simply replenish the liquor cabinet with a few new treats.

We celebrated Christmas Day with my family at my dad's house. While it's a whirlwind several hours, it's so nice to have everyone together.

Steve's sister Karen and her husband Andrew made a visit to Cleveland during the weekend after Christmas. We rarely have the opportunity to visit with them in Boston, so it was awesome for them to make the trip to see us! We did a Tour de CLE complete with Mabel’s, Barrio, West Side Market, GLBC, Platform, LBM, El Carnicero, Deagan's, 16-Bit, Melt, Angelo's...and of course a little bit of karaoke :) Yikes!! We really jammed a lot into 2 days. It was so much fun.

That's it for now. On January 6 we embark on the trip of lifetime with Steve's parents. We'll be visiting with West Indies where we'll make stops at 9 islands in 13 days aboard the Viking Sea. I cannot wait to report back!

Until then...live, laugh and love. xoxo
