On October 3rd, Mom, Tracy and I boarded a plane and headed to Brooklyn, New York to visit Todd & Erin and meet my newest nephew, Zachary Aric. We arrived on Saturday morning and checked into the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott. After a quick stop at Trader Joe’s, we headed to Todd & Erin’s where we grabbed some lunch and had the chance to spread our love to the newest and most adorable member of the family. Zachary Mott was born on August 27, 2009 and at only 5 weeks old, he’s cute as can be…and clearly my brother’s son :)
Saturday evening took us to Blue Smoke, the Manhattan restaurant where Todd is a manager, and we indulged in some cocktails and fantastic food. It was a very nice day.
On Sunday, Mom & Tracy watched Zachary as Todd & Erin went to spin class and I went on a run. Todd had to work for the rest of the day, but in the meantime, we sent Erin for a massage and we watched little Zachary.
For dinner, my mom and I went to Morton’s happy hour for some cheap food & drinks!
Monday started with a work out and swim and then to the Brooklyn Bridge & the South Street Seaport for some sightseeing. It was a beautiful day to walk all 5,989 feet (1.13 miles) of the Bridge as well as great exercise. It is fascinating and quite a sight to be seen…I was able to take some great pictures.

We took a short water taxi ride back to Brooklyn. When we stepped off, we had this great view of the city.
We headed back to Cleveland that night and reflected on what a great time we had together and how glad we were to have the opportunity to see Todd’s & Erin’s beautiful baby. We can’t wait to see them all again at Christmas!
Twelve years ago, the three of is made this same trip together…let’s hope that it’s not another twelve before we do it again.
